Who We Are…
The Greater Cleveland Church of Christ is a diverse collection of wretched yet reformed sinners who have been rescued by our Savior Jesus Christ. While far from perfect, we strive to live as disciples of Jesus by serving God, obeying the Scriptures and loving one another.
Our church is made up of a diverse collection of broken, flawed, imperfect sinners who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. From teenagers to seniors, blue collar to white collar, east siders to west siders, white, black, and everything in between, we have seen the error of our ways, and decided to follow Jesus with all of our heart. One thing is certain, there is a place for you at The Greater Cleveland Church of Christ!

Our vision at the Greater Cleveland Church of Christ is simple. We want to join together as we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and love people as we live in Jesus Christ. Here you will discover biblical teachings and a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are family. We are men, women, children, plumbers, electricians, businessmen and women, students, teachers, motorcycle riders, athletes, artists, young and old, but most of all we are family and disciples of Jesus Christ. The Greater Cleveland Church of Christ was formed to be a community where people genuinely love, encourage, and take care of one another. We aren’t perfect and we don’t get it right every time, but we never give up proclaiming God’s Word.
Ryan and Karin Painter were hired to lead our church in January of 2017. They have two children, Justin and Anna, who are both currently studying at the University of Cincinnati. The Painters have over 25 years of ministry experience throughout Ohio and Massachusetts. In his free time, Ryan enjoys his hometown Cleveland sports teams, while Karin is an avid dog walker!
Ryan grew up in the Cleveland area (Hudson, Ohio), was baptized into Christ at The Ohio State University. Karin is originally from the Pennsylvania area, and was baptized in Christ while getting her MBA at Case Western Reserve University. In 2001 they moved to Toledo to start the Toledo Church of Christ, where they made their home for 10 years. After 5 years of ministry work in Worcester, Massachusetts, they are back in Cleveland serving our great church.
